Safety Engineer in KONE
Safety Engineer is a crucial component of how we work at KONE. It is a pillar of our culture and the basis for how we conduct business. We have an excellent opportunity for a Safety Engineer to be situated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in order to continue developing KONE Safety Culture and actively advocate safety standards. The chosen applicant will proactively seek to maintain a high level of safety awareness and performance throughout the business unit. We’re searching for a go-getter with a track record who can work with the unit functions to guarantee that safety-related processes, procedures, and guidelines are continuously improved.
What will you do?
Safety & Environment
- Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of KONE safety management system including worker, user and third-party safety. Implement environmental policies to minimize the impact of operations on the environment.
- Actively participate in and contribute to unit safety committee and other safety forums
- Provide professional advice and support to the unit on matters affecting safety
- Plan, participate in and implement projects and activities to improve safety
- Work closely with customers and partners, including KONE subcontractors
- Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools and practices
- Support safety related change management projects and initiatives
- Collect, measure and ensure accuracy of leading and lagging safety data, report performance
- Monitor legal and business environment development in safety, identify and propose actions
- Perform safety audits regularly to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks and deviations
- Analyse and investigate incidents. Manage corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement
- Support the training and development of others’ safety competences in the unit
- Proactively communicate safety information including investigation outcomes and best practices
Are you the one?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a must
0 -1 years of experience in safety preferably in Elevators industry or any related field.
Passionate about safety with excellent communication, training and organizational skills
Relevant safety certifications NEBOSH IGC is a must
Internal auditor course in ISO management system is a plus
Very good English language skills
As per current labor regulations, this role is only open to Saudi nationals
