Job Description
The bus driver is directly responsible to the directors of transportation in the operation of school buses and transporting students to and from school.
Qualifications
Valid Washington State Drivers License with five years experience as a licensed driver; High school diploma or equivalent; WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance
Responsibilities
- Know, understand and apply practices of School Bus Driver Handbook published by S.P.I. and Cheney School District Standard Operating Procedure Handbook.
- Drive buses on regularly scheduled routes or on field trips or activity trips.
- Fuel and clean bus.
- Maintain control over passengers as related to safety.
- Participate in bus driver training courses established by O.S.P.I.
- Must be able to perform Cheney School District pre and post-trip inspections.
- Keep supervisor informed as to condition of bus and accidents.
- Report any accident or law infraction to director immediately.
