About the Role
Qatar Airways is seeking a talented Visual Communications Specialist to join its award-winning Product Development and Design (PDD) team in Doha, Qatar. This is a high-impact, executive-facing role where you will transform complex business data, product strategies, and organizational insights into clear, compelling visual narratives.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in presentation design, data visualization, and visual storytelling — combined with strong business acumen and the ability to communicate with clarity and influence at the most senior levels of one of the world’s leading aviation brands.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Storytelling & Presentation Design
- Design high-impact executive presentations for strategic reviews, product roadmap discussions, and senior leadership updates at Qatar Airways.
- Translate abstract product strategies, customer insights, and aviation business concepts into visually structured, engaging slide narratives.
- Produce custom iconography, charts, diagrams, and data visuals that enhance clarity and support strategic storytelling.
- Develop annotated mockups and visual frameworks that communicate design decisions and business rationales effectively.
- Maintain brand consistency, visual language, and formatting standards across all presentation and design materials.
Business Analysis & Strategic Communication
- Work with raw inputs — notes, sketches, market research, and business cases — to create structured and compelling executive-level narratives.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Research & Insights, and Business Analysis teams to understand aviation market trends and business opportunities.
- Build visually engaging summaries of financial analyses, customer insights, ROI models, and benchmark data for senior leadership.
- Simplify complex data — market trends, product performance, and customer analytics — into accessible, decision-ready visual formats.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers, UX designers, business analysts, and operational teams to gather inputs and align messaging.
- Develop presentations that clearly articulate project highlights, business value propositions, key decisions, and implementation plans.
- Manage multiple presentation and design projects simultaneously, delivering exceptional quality under tight deadlines.
Operational Excellence
- Apply strong design principles — visual hierarchy, typographic clarity, white space — to guide audience attention effectively.
- Maintain an executive-grade level of visual polish appropriate for Qatar Airways senior stakeholder presentations.
- Support the PDD department in improving visual communication standards, workflows, and storytelling best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, Graphic Design, business, or a related creative or analytical field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in presentation design, visual storytelling, business communications, or data-driven content design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating executive-level presentation work and visually communicated business insights—required for application.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Figma.
- Strong analytical skills: ability to comprehend business challenges and research insights and translate them into meaningful visual narratives.
- Experience creating data visuals and dashboards using PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with proven ability to translate complex topics for senior leadership audiences.
