The World Bank Legal Vice Presidency
Highly motivated law students get the chance to learn about the goals and activities of the Legal Vice Presidency and the World Bank by participating in this programme. Through the World Bank Legal Internship Program, people may contribute fresh viewpoints, ground-breaking concepts, and cutting-edge research experiences to the organization’s everyday operations and hone their legal expertise while working in a diverse setting.
By closely working with professionals in the Legal Vice Presidency, the programme aims to provide you first-hand experiences of the regular operations of the World Bank. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the legal services provided by the Legal Vice Presidency and take part in high-profile events and conferences as a member of our team, working closely with exceptional and motivating development professionals and senior management.
World Bank Legal Internship Program
The World Bank Legal Internship Program is available to presently enrolled law school students three times a year for a maximum of three months at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as in some chosen country offices.
Can you be a intern in the Legal Vice Presidency?
- Do you hold citizenship of any IBRD member state?
- Are you pursuing your internship with us while enrolled in an LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or comparable legal academic programme? (For instance, in order to qualify for the Summer Cycle of LIP, you must be enrolled in a June through August legal academic programme.)
- Do you have an excellent command of the English language?
If you have answered yes to all these questions, you are eligible to be an intern in the Legal Vice Presidency.
Applications from eligible international as well as U.S.-based students are equally encouraged.
