DESCRIPTION
Start your teaching career’s next chapter! A dedicated and motivated Special Education educator is needed by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at SCI Camp Hill. Working with a committed team where cooperation and communication are essential, you will teach fundamental skills to jailed adults and young people (age 21 and under) while earning a competitive income and first-rate benefits.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
To ensure a productive and secure learning environment, this job is responsible for defining the rules and procedures for the classroom. You will create lesson plans for each student that detail the topic and activities to be covered, the order of teaching, the materials required, and the standards for lesson completion.
Additional Information
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
- Work hours are 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
