Description
Together, we are working at Babcock to build a safe and secure world, and if you join us, you may contribute as a Pipe Outfitter at our Rosyth location.
Day to day
- Manufacturing, repairing and replacing pipe work using a variety of industry standard materials
- Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability and Quality standards.
- Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materials
- Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leeks, testing, repair and maintenance of various pipe system.
Experience of the Pipe Outfitter
- To have achieved the qualifications and have completed an appropriate apprenticeship for Copper Smith, Pipe Fabrication
- Experience in this type of job role – minimum 5 years
- Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
- To demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations for this roleTo be friendly and approachable
- To understand and deliver good customer serviceGood attention to detail
- To demonstrate good time management and aptitude
- Must be in and maintain physical capability to handle the logistics of pipe fabrication and installation activities.
