The 77 rooms, 2 dining options, vast recreational amenities, and conference and event space make up the 4* Manor West Hotel.
A senior operations manager with expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm is needed to join our management team. We may have a great chance for you if you are passionate about the hospitality sector and would like to advance your career in a busy and wildly successful establishment.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Operations Manager will be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of this busy 77-bedroom property and a team of 75+ staff.
- Work in conjunction with the General Manager and Financial controller on setting annual budget and target proposals for the property.
- Working closely with the team on the strategy planning for the hotel.
- Working with the hotels Management Team in ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with managers and HOD’s in all aspects of the property’s agenda.
- Management of a team of up to 75+ people on busy shifts.
- Act as support to all departments, ensuring smooth operation of the property and to take a hands-on approach during peak times
- Driving sales/sales initiatives within the property in conjunction the Sales & Marketing team.
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years’ experience as an Operations Manager/Senior Operations Manager within a busy 4* hotel property.
- Must have a strong knowledge of all departments within the hotel with a particular emphasis on food & beverage/ sales & events and the new initiatives/innovations taking place within the industry.
- Must have experience in the training and developing both staff and HOD’s
- Must have a proven track record in achieving results/targets.
- Previous experience working with hotel office systems is desirable such as HotSoft, Volante, Procure Wizard, Alkimii, Kelsius.
- Must have an excellent understanding of hotel financials.
- Must have strong people management skills
- Must have excellent communications skills.
- Must have excellent people skills.
- Must have excellent organisational skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
