Three methods are used by the Program Advocacy and Communication Team (PAC) team to achieve this goal: To maximize the benefits of the assistance system and funding sources, we must ensure that our problems are supported and championed by important stakeholders. Achieving our common objectives through advancing policies that support our programme plan goals and collaborating with important institutions.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of grants and/contracts.
- Contribute to all aspects of grant-making, including reviewing grant proposals for strategy and goal alignment and providing recommendations for funding.
- Monitor the performance of partners and provide progress reports for review by foundation leadership.
- Engage externally with grantees and internally with USP Program and NAT colleagues to support the development and implementation of policy and advocacy goals aligned to the foundation strategies.
- Fulfill requests from leadership and provide support to the Policy & Finance team as needed.
Experience
Jobs in Gates Foundation US
- Bachelor’s or other advanced degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination and education and experience.
- Experience with grantmaking or solid understanding of U.S. education policy. Experience in policy areas of education data and privacy is a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability in rapidly assessing, prioritizing, and delivering on requests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively synthesize information and develop recommendations for decision.
- Ability to work across teams in a highly matrixed environment.
