The MRC Centre for Environment and Health, a collaboration between Imperial College and King’s College London, is a significant component of the portfolio. The Center is acknowledged as an international Centre of excellence for research and education on the impact of environmental contaminants on human health and the application of this knowledge to national and international policies to enhance health.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will offer organizational and scientific administrative assistance to a portfolio of linked grants, including the MRC Centre for Environment and Health, while collaborating with the Departmental Manager and the Centre Scientific Manager.
You will be in charge of managing timetables and deliverables for a number of sizable, collaborative projects that involve partners from outside the company. You will take the initiative to actively seek for funding sources and create grant proposals. You will also take the lead in establishing, tracking, and monitoring spend on grant budgets, reporting on scientific progress to donors, and managing the recruitment of essential staff.
You will be essential to the Center’s coordination, collaborating with the Scientific Manager to support the scientists selected to carry out the research programmes of the Center. In addition to facilitating collaboration activities and scientific meetings with important stakeholders, key responsibilities include working with the Center’s Training Programme Coordinator to deliver recruitment and career development activities for PhD students, researchers, and fellows; organizing a programme of public engagement events; maintaining effective communications both inside and outside the Center.
