Assistant Manager Role
Weir and Sons is now seeking an accomplished Assistant Manager to join the group in our Dundrum store.
By helping employees on the sales floor and taking care of administrative responsibilities, you will be in charge of making sure that a retail outlet’s everyday operations go without a hitch. Your responsibilities also include assisting the shop manager with staff rosters, training new team members, addressing customer complaints, and inspecting merchandise.
Assistant Manager Responsibilities
- Share full P&L responsibility with store manager; follow the business strategic growth plans with directors and implement actions effectively to develop profitable revenue
- Maximize store profitability by challenging short and long term financial goals, objectives and development plans
- Regularly analyse the store’s performance and implement the right action plans where needed
- Monitor and drive performance and coordinate with HR and Retail teams to achieve targets
- Compliance with Policies and Procedures
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reporting and analysis as directed
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards by regularly following up with operations and executing initiatives as needed
- Supporting with staff rosters with Store manager
Assistant Manager Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a retail or hospitality setting with emphasis on operations, store management preferably in a luxury setting.
- 2+ years’ experience as Assistant Manager (team responsibility)
- Computer literate; learn and utilize various software packages
- Action oriented; drive for results
- A great communicator, able to motivate others and build effective teams
- Service orientation and customer focus
- Able to mediate and negotiate to resolve conflict
- Engaging with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across various functions to drive change
- Team player, Problem-solver
- The ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly
- Familiarity with applicable labour laws, and retail health and safety standards.
- A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
