Safety Engineer in KONE
Safety Engineer is a crucial component of how we work at KONE. It is a pillar of our culture and the basis for how we conduct business. We have an excellent opportunity for a Safety Engineer to be situated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in order to continue developing KONE Safety Culture and actively advocate safety standards. The chosen applicant will proactively seek to maintain a high level of safety awareness and performance throughout the business unit. We’re searching for a go-getter with a track record who can work with the unit functions to guarantee that safety-related processes, procedures, and guidelines are continuously improved.
What will you do?
Observe the application of the unit safety policy, methods, guidelines, and rules.
Give the business unit advice and assistance on issues relating to safety.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to determine compliance, find variances, and pinpoint hazards to safety.
Work with line management and technical experts to run the accident and near-miss event investigation process, finish or validate accident and investigation reports.
Help line management and technical experts develop and put into practise remedial and preventative measures based on audit and inquiry results.
track the success of remedial and preventative measures
Disseminate information about safety across the business unit.
Under the supervision of the Safety Manager, communicate with external stakeholders (such as clients and authorities) on issues with safety.
Are you the one?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a must
0 -1 years of experience in safety preferably in Elevators industry or any related field.
Passionate about safety with excellent communication, training and organizational skills
Relevant safety certifications NEBOSH IGC is a must
Internal auditor course in ISO management system is a plus
Very good English language skills
As per current labor regulations, this role is only open to Saudi nationals
