Captal Farms Cappagh based in Dungarvan, Co Waterford are looking for a Maintenance Welder, to maintain and weld all equipment based on the farm. Salary starting from €35,000 per annum based on a 40 hour week.

Responsibilities To operate welding equipment in order to join metalwork pieces together, using fusion welding processes based on various techniques and materials, and perform simple visual inspection of welds - Requires knowledge of welding techniques, torch temperature for metal processes, metal thermal conductivity and fuel gas - To align components and join metals - To apply arc welding techniques and precision metalworking techniques - To ensure correct metal temperature and handle fuels - To operate welding equipment including oxy-fuel torch - To recognise signs of corrosion and remove inadequate workpieces - To perform metal active gas welding and inert gas welding - To wear appropriate protective gear and adhere to safety standards - To smooth burred surfaces and recognise metal imperfections - Minimum 2 years’ of relevant experience as a Welder
